- The story between Helena and the Baron was more complicated than what she let to Harry. I think they were close to the point of being friends. The Baron might have wanted something more, but Helena also wanted freedom, to not be owned by anyone else after spending so much time in the shadow of her mother.
- This left her with very complicated feelings towards him. She might have even welcomed him when he went for her to Albania. (And we all know how this ended)
- She definitely loves her mother, though. It is just that she has definitely ruled every aspect of Helena's life, and she wants freedom.
- Helena definitely regrets taking the diadem with her.
- She doesn't regret leaving, though.
- Even if Harry Potter Wikia cites her birth year as later than 982 and her death some point between 996 and 1000, I decided to throw that piece of canon away because I like the idea that she actually got to complete her education (proven that it was seven years just as in modern times) because fuck the idea that she died at fifteen, and escaped her mother and the Baron some point after her 20th birthday. I also like the idea that she kept him looking for a long time, like five years or so, so it would place her death at 25 years old.
- She was actually a fairly bright witch. It just happens that when your modern is Rowena Ravenclaw, even a clever, hardworking person looks like an utter dunce.
- Aside from English, she speaks Scottish Gaelic, Latin, Ancient Greek, and a fair share of other languages.
